Overview

As our Cath Lab/EP Manager at Virginia Mason Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you’ll oversee a department of frontline nurses and technologists and act as the conduit between these caregivers and leadership teams. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the nursing staff as we constantly seek to improve patient experiences, reach out to our community, and deliver quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.

About Us:

Virginia Mason Medical Center is a 336-bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Seattle, WA. As a non-profit teaching hospital, our facility has 26 surgical suites and will be expanding soon. And we are proud to be designated a Center of Excellence for total joints, complex spine surgeries as well as solid organ transplants. We also have a renowned cardiac surgery service line.

Cath Lab/EP Manager responsibilities:

• Oversee a (2) two departments (Cath Lab & EP Lab) of nurses and technologists ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
• Coordinate staff schedules in relation to department needs. Problem solve any issues with staffing and patient flow.
• Be a loyalty creator by understanding the connection between employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction. Engage with the team; talk to the nurses, patients, and families. Keep your finger on the pulse of your department to maintain smooth operations.
• Facilitate staff meetings and assist with coordination of staff education and development. Mentor staff and share your knowledge and confidence to build other nurses into potential leaders like yourself.
• Recruit, retain, manage, support, and develop clinical staff in the delivery of patient care to ensure we have the best nursing workforce available.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• BSN/Bachelor’s degree In Nursing or related field preferred.
• Four (4) Years of Experience in Cath Lab and or EP or related work including two (2) years in a charge nurse/leadership role or equivalent.
• Recent Cardiac Cath/Structural Heart Lab experience is strongly preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State of Washington.
• Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification Preferred 
• Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
• Exceptional skills in communication, collaboration, and team building.
