Overview

CHI Health and is seeking a quality driven, patient–centered Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team to provide Anesthesia services at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska and  CHI Health Mercy in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This opportunity is well-suited for CRNAs seeking a full scope non-supervised role. New Grad's are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Pre-anesthesia assessment
    • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
    • Discusses anesthetic options and risks with patient
    • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
    • Monitoring of patient's physiological condition
    • Perform clinical intervention as needed
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
    • Provide clear and concise medical information
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in Epic
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations
  • Case Assignments:
    • Endo, general, ortho, urology, ENT, healthy peds, bariatric, spine, GYN, plastics, labor & delivery, and vascular
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement
    • Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice
    • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
    • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards
  • Schedule:
    • Call & Non Call positions available
    • Call positions: Call from home - 1st call 4x per month
    • 7 weeks of PTO plus 6 holidays
  • Benefits:

Qualifications
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from an accredited program
  • Ability to obtain Nebraska and Iowa licensure
  • Ability to obtain Iowa DEA
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
