As a member of the Flight Crew, assists in meeting the physical and emotional needs of critically ill and injured patients. Promotes safe and efficient operation of Flight For Life.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• 3 years or 4,000 hours as a Paramedic provider in 911 ALS or critical care transport, (ground or air) or 4,000 hours of critical care experience in-hospital required
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Colorado State Paramedic Certification required and National Registry as a paramedic required. Must maintain currency in all certification required by CAMTS
• BLS & ACLS through the American Heart Association required
• PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer is required
• TPATC or ATLS within 12 months of hire/transfer is required 
• NRP within 12 month of hire/transfer is required
• FP-C within 2 years of hire/transfer is required
• Valid drivers license and the ability to pass an annual pre check review of driving record for safe vehicle operations is required

Physical RequirementsMedium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly.

Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Pay Range

$24.85 - $40.64 / hour
