Job SummaryManage the Medical Staff’s CME Program, which encompasses providing technical knowledge and oversight of the coordination and implementation of all CME functions within the designated Operating Group to ensure effective education is provided within the ACCME standards. Due to multiple Medical Staffs and facilities, this Coordinator must establish many effective relationships, work within multiple organizational structures and cultures, manage various systems/policies, participate in a number of off-hours sessions and move between facilities with ease while promoting superior customer service. They manage multiple Medical Staffs in the functioning for support and planning of all CME events/programs (planning, coordinating, marketing, and evaluation of all CME activities). This position administers a regulatory-compliant, effective and efficient CME program, from data gathering through facilitating and maintaining Category 1 accreditation. These functions involve applying accreditation knowledge and support to and communications with numerous hospital departments, including providers, directors, educators, and executive administration, pursuant to the requirements set forth by the Colorado Medical Society (CMS) and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The CME Coordinator must direct, educate and motivate providers/speakers/educators to accomplish their assigned tasks either with matters of significance to department business or in support of the medical education program. The position is also responsible for coordinating the credentialing of graduate learners including medical students/nurse practitioner students/physician assistant students, as well as visiting residents at the hospitals. This position will be expected to interact with schools, universities, and physicians regarding the policies and procedures of students and residents in the hospitals.
Not a remote position, candidate must live in Colorado. Candidate is able to have a work from home schedule.
