Clinical Director of Integration for Mental Health Services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of the Associate Vice President of Mental Health Services (AVP), develops or oversees the implementation of clinical training and programming for the MH Services Division.
Serves as the MH Services Division primary liaison with other Commonpoint Queens programs and departments in discussions pertaining to clinical training and programming.
Provides clinical guidance to other Commonpoint Queens programs, when needed.
Oversees special projects identified via funding opportunities or by the AVP.
Will work with other Commonpoint Queens programs and departments to facilitate continuity of mental health services for clients in those areas.
Will develop mechanisms to increase the accessibility of MH services to clients being served by other Commonpoint Queens programs.
Will ensure that clinical services within the Mental Health Services Division are relevant and of the highest quality possible by consistently reviewing recent literature and research of the recognized best practices, and ensuring that these practices are culturally adapted to meet the needs of all clients.
Identifies training opportunities, provides that training or oversees the training of all clinical staff within the MH Services Division.
Oversees the social work student internship program for the MH Services Division.
Will oversee the program designed to help social workers throughout Commonpoint Queens obtain their clinical licenses.
Oversees the organization’s CEU program.
Will supervise some clinicians practicing in the MHOTRS and the adolescent clinic
Will carry a small caseload of clients, usually during the intake process.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Graduate degree and independent clinical license required.
A minimum of five years, of post-graduate clinical experience in Article 31 outpatient clinics (MHOTRs).
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in geriatric mental health and/or adolescents.
Thorough understanding of person-centered, trauma-informed service delivery.
Deep understanding of and commitment to anti-racist work and the implementation of practices conducive to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
Understanding of OMH regulations.
Understanding of clinic billing practices.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel to multiple service sites within the agency

Job Details:

Part-time - 21 hours per week, with the position going full-time in the future.
Salary: $100K per year
