Ready for an adventurous job where you can share your passion for thrills and nature with others and use your social media marketing skills? Join us as a Social Media Intern for our Zipline Canopy Tour!? 

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Intern. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and promoting our zipline canopy tour experiences across various social media platforms. 

No prior ziplining experience needed – we provide comprehensive training. Apply now for a chance to be part of the excitement!

  • Season: May- August, with additional guiding opportunities available in Autumn & Spring This position will work approximately 30-40 hours per week (approx. 50% guiding and 50% video editing, posting etc).
  • Pay Rate:?$15 per hour
  • Training & Start Date: May 18-22 

Social Media Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive engagement.
  • Create and curate engaging content for our social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and user-generated content related to our zipline canopy tours.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm and execute social media campaigns and promotions.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in social media marketing in the outdoor advertising industry.
  • Support other marketing initiatives and projects as needed. 

Zipline Guide Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and document equipment and assist with pre- and post-tour tasks.
  • Greet and pre-screen all participants, while establishing a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Coach groups of up to 8 participants through our zipline course for 3 hours at a time.
  • Debrief experiences with fellow staff to make constructive improvements.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed for the well-being of self and others.
  • Follow emergency procedures, including conducting aerial rescues.
  • Adhere to the current standards of the organization and industry. 

Requirements:

  • Photography and/or videography skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong passion for social media and a solid understanding of various social media platforms.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms is a plus. 
  • Ability to contribute to a positive and supportive team culture with many personalities. 
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather. 
  • Ability to work with a diverse population. 
  • Successfully complete canopy tour guide training and verification. 
  • At least 18 years of age. 
  • Able to physically maneuver the canopy tour course and assist participants. 
  • Engaging and creative while speaking to groups of participants.? 
  • Ability to face stressful situations calmly and professionally.?? 
  • Preferred: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
