Job Summary:
Our VP of Estimating intends to retire after 40 years with our company. We are seeking the right person with experience in construction estimating to join our top management team. The position involves preparing and overseeing all estimates and bids for the firm, as well as assisting in sales and marketing areas. Candidates should have 5 years prior experience in construction estimating. Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project budgets and timelines
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
- Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
- Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam a plus
- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate costs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost estimation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
