To ensure success as a quality technician, you should have a strong working knowledge of pool cage manufacturing, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You should have the fortitude to drive accountability and quality across a diverse manufacturing team. Ultimately, a top-class quality technician can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
Responsibilities for Quality Control Technician:
- Develop and maintain inspection reports
- Ensure compliance to all company standards and specifications
- Maintain and log calibration of quality control equipment
- Perform inspections across all stages of production, including raw materials, work in process, and finished goods
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
- Identify areas for quality control improvement, gain stakeholder buy-in, and implement new methods accordingly
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
- Educate team members about quality findings and performance
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Ability to read technical drawings preferred
- Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
- Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, angles, and imperial measurements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds when needed
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to engage the team to explain quality issue findings and address solutions
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Reports to Branch Manager for all responsibilities.
