Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fireproofer to join our team. As a Fireproofer, you will be responsible for applying fireproofing materials to various structures and surfaces to ensure their safety and compliance with fire codes and regulations. This is a vital role in maintaining the integrity of buildings and protecting lives.

***Responsibilities include installing fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial buildings to the required specifications designated by the material manufacturer, work extended hours, weekends and travel out of town as needed.***

Duties:
- Apply fireproofing materials to structural components, such as steel beams, columns, walls, and ceilings
- Use specialized tools and equipment to spray or apply fire-resistant coatings
- Follow blueprints, specifications, and instructions to determine the appropriate application methods and materials
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or priming as necessary
- Ensure proper coverage and thickness of fireproofing materials
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Fireproofer or in a related field is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Knowledge of different types of fireproofing materials and their application techniques is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with others
