Role Description

This is a contract, on-site role for a Janitor/Custodian in Columbia, MO. This role is perfect for individuals who do gig work or have another part time job, as we're currently hiring for an as-needed basis with work to be solicited as we receive it. Some jobs may last for up to 2-4 weeks, while others may only be a couple days.

Depending on availability and quality of work, we may offer full and part-time positions.

The Janitor/Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated spaces within the building, including offices, restrooms, and common areas. They will perform tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal, as well as ensuring that cleaning supplies are stocked and equipment is properly maintained. The Janitor/Custodian will also be responsible for reporting any maintenance issues and ensuring that the building is secure at the end of each work day.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning highly preferred
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor polishers, and carpet extractors
• Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation

• Our as-needed staff start at $15.75/hr with pay raises at 3, 6, and 12 months of service
• When completing a final-clean for a construction company, pay rates may be as high as $40.00-$45.00 per hour
• Full and Part time positions will be solicited as they become available with benefits included
