DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST
Commercial Alliance provides a comprehensive suite of lending services designed to help credit unions succeed with business members across six states. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional to assist with Documentation.
As a Documentation Specialist, you will prepare documentation for all business loans. Review loan documentation and credit request for completeness and accuracy, minimizing credit and business risks through awareness of procedure, accurate reporting and compliance with policy. Input loans onto the company’s database, disburse loan proceeds and maintain copies and files of executed documents. Audit loan files ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare complete loan documentation packages utilizing the LaserPro software system, while applying knowledge of lending concepts, techniques, and principles.
  • Maintain accurate records of loan accounts and records.
  • Provide operational assistance/support to closing support manager, management, and credit unions.
  • Support the overall philosophy and projections of the company while exceeding external and internal customer expectations.
  • Provide exemplary service to all customers.
  • Provide administrative/operational/technical assistance to closing support manager, customers, management, and co-workers.
  • Review closing loan package to ensure accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Verify documents, fees/costs are properly executed, correct, and accounted for.
  • Work with title company to meet timing of closing expectations.
  • Confirm loan proceeds and payment of all indicated within the closing package.
  • Image and copy documents as needed.
  • Audit loan files to ensure compliance with established Loan Policy and to confirm all exceptions, if any, have either been properly cleared or identified for future follow-up.
  • Complete Commercial Loan Documentation.
  • Verify loan approval, eligibility of business entity, and documentation required from lender/closing support manager to complete loan documents.
  • Notify the closing support manager of exceptions and/or subject to’s to be cleared prior to closing if upon receipt of file from closing support certain items are not meeting guidelines to provide clear to close.
  • Sign off on final clear to close when received by closing support manager with verification of all key elements necessary to be compliant with regulations, policies and the approval.
  • Prepare loan documentation.
  • Conduct quality control review of loan documents processed by others for accuracy and completeness.
  • Functions Not Elsewhere Classified
  • Make corrections to loans, system, files, and procedures as needed.
  • Provide copies and/or documentation to support loan documentation, payoff information and any other transactions with regards to the department process in general
  • Other duties/projects as assigned by management or dictated by operational issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficient in LaserPro, Excel, and other Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills required with minimum five years’ experience in working with large amounts of loan data, complex and basic
  • A minimum of two years banking experience, preferably in loan documentation or loan operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to distinguish different types of forms and documents.
  • Able to adapt to changing work environments, work proprieties, and organizational needs
  • Able to work with strong personalities in a fast-passed work environment
  • Organizes and delivers information appropriately
  • Exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, teamwork, dedication, and loyalty.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience and background with Commercial Lending a plus
