Commerce Industrial Chemicals- A Division of First Source Worldwide, LLC a distributor of materials for the Coatings, Adhesive, Plastics, Printing and Metal Working markets offering solvents, containers, iron oxides, inorganic fibers, extender pigments, metallic pigments, titanium dioxide, corrosion inhibitors, organic pigments, effect pigments, dyes, calcium chlorides and more.

We are currently hiring for a Bulk Plant Operator. The work schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Weigh, measure and mix various solvents according to formula.
• Transfer materials to containers or storage tanks; clean equipment; process paperwork.
• Unload liquid solvents from truck holding areas and other materials from loading docks.
• Follow prescribed processes for pumping and unloading materials such as liquids, chemicals, and gases.
• Fill, label and mark drums for shipment or storage
• Load and unload tanker and van trailers including placing placards on vehicles.
• Operates forklifts and other equipment required to package and ship the materials.
• For bulk products, takes samples of materials for analysis and ensures approval prior to unloading tank trucks.
• Hook up and ground all hoses and pump equipment; catch drips and hose contents and placing them in proper storage containers.
• Participate in yearend inventory.
• Maintaining clean facility inside and outside.
• Open and close bulk plant as directed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year experience in similar position
• DOT/hazardous materials training is preferred.
• Ability to operate/use various machines- forklift, hand trucks, hand tools.
• Communication skills with all levels of management, co-workers and customers.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision recognizing matters needing attention.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs repetitively.
• Works in a non-temperature controlled open-air plant; outside weather conditions.
• Subject to a pre employment drug screen with hire
