**Part-time Opportunity | Up to 25 hours per week | Schedule is based on business needs** PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS More than half the job duties include: Develop and create sales strategies to attract new clients.Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors.Responsible for overseeing the successful completion of special projects requiring out-sourced vendors.In the absence of the Special Operations Manager, assists clients immediately and makes decisions on solutions to client requests in a friendly, caring and helpful manner.Create banquet event orders, following up with clientsOther duties include, but are not limited to:Process client electronic paymentsResponsible for ensuring all supporting departments receive their payment from an event. (i.e. A/V, IT, Spa, etc.)Distribute the daily calendar of events.Order specialty items as it relates to an event.Responsible for clerical functions and administrative support to the Special Operations Manager.Prepare accurate written correspondence including letters, contracts, reports, banquet event orders, schedule of events, printed menus, and emails.Complete distribution of Sales correspondence to the hotel operating departments as required.Maintain the various Sales file systems, both electronic and paper, including Account Files, RFP channels and master documents.Facilitate daily showroom and event space process.Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested.Assists with other duties and projects as assigned by the Special Operations Manager.The duties mentioned above are not set forth for the purposes of limiting the assignment of work. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma. Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales or catering/convention services department. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required. Experience with Delphi software is required.
