We are currently looking for Pipefitting Apprentices with 0-1 Year Experience!

BASIC DUTIES:

Learning HVAC piping principles / systems and the relevant codes
and industry standards that govern their installation.
Ensure compliance with all CSUSASW Policies and Procedures.

SAFETY:
Actively comply with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies andprocedures.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as (but not limited to) safety rules, installationand operating manuals, design drawings, policies and procedures, or any other relateddocuments. Ability to legibly write and fill out all documents.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area,circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability toread charts, graphs, tables, and schematics as it relates to HVAC piping -oriented matters.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense and basic understanding in order to carry out instructionsfurnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving severalconcrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to movingmechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat or cold conditions, risk of electricalshock, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, high or precarious locations, and loud noises.Must demonstrate cooperative behavior with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, usehands & fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel,crouch, crawl, talk, hear, or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste orsmell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to at least 50 pounds. Specific visionabilities required by this job include ability to adjust and focus. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
