Job Responsibilities

Breakfast Operations

• Providing personalized service to all guests
• Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards
• Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
• Ordering or purchasing food supplies
• Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices from concentrate
• Stocking coffee and juice machines
• Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products
• Setting out/arranging cold food such as pastries, muffins, instant oatmeal/grits
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Preparing and setting up hot food items
• Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand
• Wiping up spills
• Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day
• Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
• Returning reusable food supplies to storage
• Keeping breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors
• Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints

Guest Services

• Support guest service as the main focus of the hotel
• Interact with guests
• Communicates special requests made by guests
• Actively participates in Guest Service Initiatives

After breakfast tasks have been completed, the attendant is responsible for cleaning the common areas of the hotel.

The breakfast shifts are 7am-2pm on weekdays and 6:30am-2pm on weekends. The ideal part time candidate will be scheduled 2 days a week and ideal full time candidate will be scheduled 5 days a week.

This position requires ServSafe Food Manager certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment. (The ServSafe class and test is hosted in the hotel meeting room once a month)

Physical Requirements

• Standing for long periods of time to inspect guest rooms and public areas
• Sitting, walking, and standing during shift
• Lift up to 50 Lbs. possible for stocking linen, supplies, etc.
• Ability to perform all housekeeping duties for and with supervised employees

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
