COMANCHE NATION - INDIAN TRIBE is Hiring a Grants Supervisor Near Lawton, OK

POSITION SUMMARY:
Will be responsible for the supervision of grant activity programs and staff. Positions supervised are funded through multiple funding sources, to include grant-funded projects, and staff will be responsible for strict adherence to all funding requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor all grant and cultural programming, activities, and staff at the Residential Treatment Center to ensure compliance with funding agency guidelines and departmental policies and processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programming to facilitate the recovery of individuals suffering from Substance Use Disorder, Alcohol Use Disorder, Opioid Use Disorder, and/or Co-Occurring Disorder.
  • Report grants activities and progress of project goals and deliverables to Director of Client Care and Executive Director.
  • Report cultural activities and programming to Director of Client Care and Executive Director.
  • Provide group facilitation and lead group discussions and activities of self-reflection, to include, but not limited to topics of alcohol/substance use/misuse.
  • Facilitate group/class discussions and dialogue that enable participative discussions and learning while maintaining a respectful environment.
  • Maintain statistical data on individual and group participation, progress of program participants, and grant activities.
  • Maintain a calm, non-defensive, supportive attitude towards all program participants and staff.
  • Meet emergency and crisis demands and a calm, competent, and timely manner.
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor for participants, staff, and community members.
  • Maintain confidentially at all times.
  • Will be required to work collaboratively with all other Prevention and Recovery programs and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REPORTS TO
: Will report to the Prevention & Recovery Executive Director. Will be responsible for direct supervision of multiple specified staff.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: Minimal lifting up to 25lbs may be required occasionally. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Vision and hearing in the normal range, with or without correction.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of work will be performed in the Residential Treatment Center setting with occasional outreach activities and community events.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or closely related field.
  • Preferred education: Master's degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related field.
  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory work experience.
  • Must possess work experience in grant writing, reporting, and facilitation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and standard office equipment.
  • Must display quality writing ability and communication skills.
  • Must understand processes and procedures within criminal justice agencies/settings
  • Must have skills in problem solving, conflict resolution, team building, planning, and organization.
  • Must possess experience working with Indian Tribes or organizations.
  • Will be required to obtain First Aid and CPR training (employer will provide training).
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable under the Comanche Nation’s Motor Vehicle policy.
  • Must be willing to submit to, and pass, drug testing; employment will be contingent upon successful completion.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a background investigation.
