Community Options Job Board is Hiring an Intake Coordinator Near NEW YORK, NY

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.

We are seeking an Intake Coordinator in Manhattan, NY! The Intake Coordinator manages program admissions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will be the point person ensuring all required processes are complete for new individuals to begin receiving supports. You will also maintain service authorizations ensuring individuals remain current and eligible to receive services.

$24.00- $26.50/ hour based on experience 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the admissions process for individuals receiving supports and services
  • Create and maintain service authorizations in Therap to avoid loss of services and payments
  • Gather necessary documents for all new admissions
  • Participate in pre-placement meetings for all new admissions
  • Ensure all necessary documents are collected prior to admission
  • Ensure new individuals and amendments to services are entered in Therap
  • Collaborate with the Billing Department and Regions to troubleshoot issues impacting billing and cash flow
  • Generate reports and billing data from Therap as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and regional regulatory operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of state regulations (LIDDA – Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authorities)
  • Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities
  • Experience with intake and admissions
  • Experience with TMHP (Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Familiarity with Social Security and Medicaid
  • Working Knowledge of ICD-10 codes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Therap experience is a plus
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred

Working Conditions

  • May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
  • Moderate overtime required throughout the year
