A circulator nurse is a registered nurse whose primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient throughout a surgical procedure. These nurses are also known as circulating nurses or perioperative nurses, and they play a pivotal role in the operating room (OR). While they don't directly participate in the surgery, their support is essential to maintain a sterile environment and facilitate a successful operation.
