Schedule: Hybrid: Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm. Upto 29 hours a week.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Instructional Designer I – E-Learning Developer position creates compelling and innovative digital content in collaboration with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders by leveraging a variety of multimedia authoring software tools and state-of-the-art audiovisual technologies. This role transforms content outlines and completed storyboards into engaging, interactive digital assets that meet the needs of learners while also reflecting the brand, quality, and mission of the College.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Digital Learning Content Creation
Collaborates with subject matter experts and staff to help create high-quality educational multimedia content and digital assets that represent the most current, research-based ideas in a given industry and instructional/curricular strategies. Interacts with faculty and staff in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests regarding digital asset development. Follows standard digital asset production processes and procedures.
Ensures that Columbus State's vision and mission are reflected in all aspects of the digital experience. Completes digital asset development in a timely fashion while ensuring departmental quality standards. Understands multimedia standards, media accessibility (transcription and captioning), and copyright/intellectual property issues.
Instructional Design
Assists instructional designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders in designing digital content that improves the promotion of learning objectives. Further refines and adapts scripts, storyboards, and presentations in accordance with educational outcomes.
Customer Service
Delivers exceptional customer service, teamwork, and professionalism in the design/development process in an academic setting. Interacts with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests regarding digital content creation. Follows consistent procedures in troubleshooting issues and responding to content support requests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee regularly lifts or exerts a force on items with varying weight up to 25 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in film/video arts, visual communications, multimedia, or related field;
OR
An Associate’s degree in film/video arts, visual communications, multimedia, or related field and two (2) years of relevant professional experience is required.
State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
