We are looking for a talented Technical Documentation Associate - Specialist to join our team for our location in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Coordinates and manages the product requirements and product change management processes in order to ensure that specification documents (e.g. standards, structure, and software) are clear, concise and valid across the organization.

  • Works under minimal supervision.

  • Conducts audits of product specification documents (e.g. standards, structure, and software) and ensures adherence to Product Release standards.

  • Provides information and education (as necessary) to stakeholders regarding standards and rules for documenting Cummins product specifications, including engineering, marketing, services and manufacturing processes.

  • Identifies internal stakeholders to solve queries and ensures compliance with product requirements.

  • Develops and implements practices and work instructions for the product requirements and change management processes.

  • Trains and supports less experienced Documentation Controllers.

  • Leads and/or participates in basic and/or complex improvement projects linked to the product requirements and related change management processes.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience is required

  • Four year experience/education requirement accomplished through one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience

  • OR at least four years of relevant experience required.

  • At least three years of relevant Technical Documentation experience required

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in documentation and control, engineering discipline or related field.

  • Windchill experience is a plus

  • Framework experience is a plus

  • Pay starting at $26.75/HR or higher, based on experience level.

  • This is a Hybrid Remote Position:

  • M-F, Flexible (Between 7 AM – 5 PM).

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
