Overview: Columbus Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers in Franklin County, Ohio.

The role of the Operations Intern is to learn all the roles within the department and help assist with each function when needed.

Operations functions/ duties are as follows:

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
• Manage stock control and reconcile with our data storage system.
• Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, shrink report, etc.).
• Work with RAS and ensure all product is slotted properly through the system.
• Assist with routing and territory management for deliveries.
• Use web analytics tools to assess the efficacy of current operations methods.
• Assist in adapting current operations systems to optimize efficiency.
• Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
• Assist in supervisor tasks when needed.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Operations Management or currently enrolled in the process of obtaining an Operations Management Degree.
