Position Summary:

Columbine Country Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for seasonal Pool Café Bartender positions for future hire to begin in the Spring. These positions are responsible for providing counter-style food & beverage service at Club’s poolside café, pool grab n’ go, and “The Turn”, on-course Halfway House, and any club or member events. Columbine offers flexible schedules with the ability to accommodate other jobs and/or school responsibilities. Qualified Pool Café Bartender candidates will be compensated with an hourly wage starting at $27.00 hour. Year-round employment opportunities exist and are evaluated on an individual basis at the conclusion of the summer season.

Requirements

• A Pool Café Bartender at Columbine will hold the following responsibilities, which will include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare and serve food & beverages in a counter-service environment either at our Pool Café. Food service in these areas includes making milkshakes & build your own soft-serve ice cream sundaes, fresh fruit smoothies, hot dogs, breakfast burritos, and more grab n’ go prepared foods in addition to orders from the Pool Café and/or Locker Room menu. Drink service is operated out of the bar area at the Pool Café as well as other outlets.
• Understand how to operate a point-of-sale system to enter each member’s orders correctly and expediently, ensuring the food & beverages are accurately prepared and delivered to the correct member or guest.
• Recites wine, beer, and cocktail offerings to members and able to create and serve all Pool Café cocktail and alcoholic drink menu items.
• Ability to create new and exciting specialty drinks weekly.
• Takes inventory of all beverages and restocks appropriately.
• Providing food & beverage service in a bar-service environment at our Poolside Café includes taking orders from our membership and their guests to be prepared from the kitchen and picked up in a timely manner from the Café. The Café is responsible for serving signature summer cocktails and a selection of beer & wine to adult’s members.
• Execute pre- and post-shift responsibilities as defined by the Pool Supervisor and/or the Food & Beverage Manager in an efficient manner so that the dining areas and/or pool deck are setup properly prior to guest arrival and that all necessary pre- and post-shift side work tasks are completed.
• Prior bartending experience is required, and prior serving experience is preferred.
• Successful applicants will have a strong work ethic, ability to work with a team, and an engaging personality. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and an outwardly engaging attitude with which to maintain and build relationships with the members of the Club. The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time is necessary and to work a combination of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
