**This role is hybrid and requires working out of our Portland, Oregon area HQ a few days each week.

ABOUT THE POSITION 

The Loss Prevention team at Columbia Sportswear Company (CSC) is responsible for the protection of CSC’s assets by preventing or minimizing losses caused by theft, fraud, and other risks. Loss prevention involves protecting business assets through the implementation of security measures & systems, training & awareness, audits, data analysis, and incident investigation & remediation.

The Loss Prevention Analyst II is responsible for supporting initiatives & programs that effectively protect the assets of the company. This position will reduce loss through data analysis, reporting, and other investigative techniques as well as identify opportunities through analysis that enhance the probability of the organization.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

  • Analyzes data from various data sources to identify theft, fraud, policy violations, and other opportunities that will enhance profitability

  • Use CCTV for trend validation, partners with and presents to management on findings, and prepare case files that clearly articulate scope of activity

  • Identify reporting opportunities that improve analytics and reporting visibility and programs

  • Provides ad hoc business analysis to Senior Management or other retail departments, as needed

  • Assists with the monitoring, investigating, and follow-up on reported incidents of external theft, fraud, and organized retail crime

  • Supports LP technology installations and maintenance for all stores as well as loss prevention training programs

YOU ARE 

  • Skilled in relationship building

  • Known for your ability to identify anomalies from ordinariness in the retail environment

  • Exceptionally organized, able to identify problems and then solve for those problems

  • Able to make conclusions with dataintelligenceinformation, and effectively the summarize findings

YOU HAVE 

  • 3 years of experience in retail operations, analytics, and/or investigations

  • Loss Prevention related professional certifications are a plus. These include but are not limited to: Wicklander & Zulawski Certification, Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), Loss Prevention Qualified/Certified (LPQ/LPC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) 

  • Experience with Microsoft programs Outlook, Excel, PowerBI, D365, and Word

  • Experience with investigative tools and processes
