The Critical Care Assistant is responsible for providing effective and timely support for the Critical Care Veterinarians and Technicians, ER/ICU clients, patients, and staff. The Critical Care Assistant is also responsible for supporting the ER/ICU Veterinarians in all aspects of medical documentation.

• Has basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Is computer literate with the ability to learn new veterinary based software applications.
• Successful Critical Care Assistant applicants will also require the following experience, skills and training to be considered:
• Has completed a basic High School level curriculum and received a diploma or GED.
• Experience in veterinary medicine is preferred but we will train the right person
• Has a clear understanding of medical terminology
• Capable of typing 40 WPM
• Is able to bend, kneel, stoop, and stand for long periods of time; can individually and frequently lift patients and inventory up to 40 pounds.
