Regional Resident Services Manager

Reports To: Vice President of Resident Services Position Summary:

Position Summary:

The Regional Resident Services Manager is responsible for the direct management and execution of onsite and community support services delivery to residents living within a portfolio of Columbia Residential housing communities. This position will work directly with residents living in ten Columbia Residential family communities located in DeKalb and Fulton counties. The focus of this position involves identifying and collaborating with state, city, and local community partners to increase youth development/leadership opportunities, increase workforce opportunities, promote resident civic engagement, and deter neighborhood level violence. The Regional Resident Services Manager will also work individually with families and seniors at these properties to support the residents’ varying needs to ensure residents remain stable in their housing.

Job Functions:

➢ Conduct community analysis report including asset/needs assessments to identify community assets and community level needs within the immediate neighborhoods

➢ Collaborate with fellow Regional Resident Services Managers to lead, coordinate and implement Resident Services Annual Back to School Bash, Deck the Halls Family Festival/Adopt a Family, and Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

➢ Meet with community stakeholders to identify self-interests and to create a network of community partners to support youth development/leadership, workforce development, resident civic engagement, and neighborhood violence prevention initiatives

➢ Develop, coordinate, and facilitate on-site and community-based programs and activities focused on key factors supporting youth development/leadership, workforce development, resident civic engagement, and neighborhood violence prevention

➢ Provide linkages and referrals to community resources and services requested by residents

➢ Research and apply for grant funding opportunities to financially support on-site and community resident engagement initiatives

➢ Create and distribute monthly announcements to residents about available community resources, services, and activities

➢ Contribute story ideas and photos to Resident Services Quarterly Newsletter to promote Resident Services achievements and high-level community partnerships

➢ Submit monthly and annual performance data that includes activity, referral, and financial reports to monitor and measure portfolio productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness and compliance with LURA supportive services commitments

➢ Accomplish financial goals by preparing an annual budget, submitting expenditures, analyzing variances, and recommending ways to reduce costs

➢ Attend and actively participate in monthly Resident Services department meetings, offering ideas, insights, and recommendations on achieving department operational goals

➢ Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

➢ Complete any additional tasks determined by the Vice President of Resident Services Job

Requirements:

➢ bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as social work, public health, sociology, planning and economic development, etc.

➢ Minimum of two years’ experience in youth program development, workforce program development, neighborhood level violence prevention, and community organizing; Experience within the affordable housing community preferred

➢ Experience building respectful working relationships with community stakeholders such as businesses, universities, schools, non-profit organizations, neighborhood associations, law enforcement, etc.

➢ Demonstrated knowledge of supportive service providers and available resources for families and seniors in the DeKalb and Fulton County

➢ Proven problem-solving skills and capacity to adapt quickly and adjust to changing and often challenging environments

➢ Superior customer service skills

➢ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

➢ Outstanding organizational and time management skills, planning abilities and attention to detail

➢ Experienced in basic administrative functions (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibility:

Working Conditions: Duties are conducted primarily in an out of office environment at various housing
communities and community partner locations. It is necessary to conduct home visits and attend resident
engagement activities. Work hours may fluctuate and include occasional evening and weekend hours.
Moderate traveling is necessary and restricted within the Metro Atlanta Region
