- $5,000 sign-on bonus for applicants who have zero seniority at CMH and who meet all other conditions for payment**
- To receive sign-on bonus, applicant must sign an offer letter by December 31, 2024, and begin working within three weeks of that acceptance. Full details of payment conditions can be obtained from Human Resources.
Job RequirementsKnowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Oral and written and interpersonal communication skills. Organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and exercise independent judgment as needed. Must be able to handle fast-paced, stressful environment while juggling multiple priorities.
License/CertificationMA required qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or alternate training program through one of the following:
- Active National certification/registration:
- Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),
iii. American Medical Technologists (AMT),
iv. National Healthcareer Association (NHA),
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT),
- Graduate of schools for MA diploma/certificate from the military in Medical Specialist Course
- Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic Course Completion/Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA ComplianceMay be exposed to infection when cleaning contaminated rooms. Work is in a fast-paced, changing environment. Normal or corrected vision and hearing required. Must speak, read, write and understand English. Dexterity required to operate equipment. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and possess verbal and clerical skills. Works inside. Walking and standing much of time while on duty. Occasional long shift necessary. Occasional lifting and transferring patients unassisted. Lifts or carries up to 50 pounds. Fast paced environment.
