Columbia Distributing is Hiring a Graphics Department Supervisor Near Wilsonville, OR

Summary This position will oversee daily graphic production workflow and scheduling while maintaining inventory levels to meet production needs. Additional duties include training new graphics team members and assign various tasks based on teammate specialty or skill sets, weekly and monthly reporting and tracking and managing all B2B web ad content as well as any other digital content required including price book ad layouts. Primary Responsibilities * Supervise a team with a variety of skill sets to meet objectives and department metrics * Direct workflow for a team of people in a high-volume production print shop * Ensure graphic project production incorporating images (templates, logos, product images, etc.) following company protocols while enforcing department rules and guidelines * Ensure use of aesthetics and design principles, while exercising independent judgment, to meet product and brand guidelines as well as supplier expectations * Direct team to maintain current templates, images, and logos to ensure brand integrity * Direct file preparation for print, ensuring copy, design, and color accuracy, occasionally providing proofs for approval * Responsible for graphics production including substrate loading, pre-flight, and outputting prints * Accountable for ensuring production lead times are met within department standards * Ability to produce projects and assist team with production as needed * Knowledgeable of general maintenance and troubleshooting on printshop equipment to include wide-format printers, small format printers, and cutters * Oversee all aspects of print production for finished design projects, including cutting, taping, rolling, packaging, and shipping * Capable of balancing creative aspects of job with fast-paced production requirements to produce large quantities of output on varied medias * Handle customer service requests from Sales Team, Suppliers, and other internal departments at all times * Provide work-flow documentation, file management and archiving, job tracking and invoicing * Manage a high-volume of production under specific time constraints * Ensure graphic supply inventory is maintained and ordered in a timely manner * Process and code department invoices adhering to budgets * Ensure weekly reporting is completed accurately and posted as required * Complete monthly tracking reports and identify any anomalies * Provide quarterly reports for accounting bill back processing. Provide any backup data as required by individual suppliers * Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations and enforce compliance * Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, manager, vendors, suppliers and others * Provide web graphic elements for use with customer facing website to include editing, graphics, content and link maintenance * Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned Key Competencies * Proven supervisor skills that show leadership, initiative, and ability to operate independently with minimal direction * Exceptional ability to manage production output and project workflow * Continuous improvement skills * Effective organizational and time management skills * Proven experience developing strong relationships with internal and external customers * Needs the ability to be flexible and adapt People Management This role will not have direct reports -- but would still require effective leadership skill sets of communication, empathy, and adaptability to influence values, behaviors and attitude. Work Environment This job operates indoors in a professional office setting Physical Demands * Lift/carry 50 lbs * Bend/stoop/crouch/squat * Frequent sitting * Use of arms/wrists/hands/grasp throughout entire shift * Required on-site job location -- in office/printshop Expected Hours of Work Days/hours may vary. Expected schedule is Monday-Friday Travel None Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's or graphics degree or equivalent years of experience * Minimum (2) years of applicable supervisor experience * Minimum (3) years of applicable graphics production work experience * Experience and/or ability utilizing Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat * Experience using Macintosh Computers and comprehension in associated workflows such as naming conventions, file types/formats and file hierarchy Preferred Education and Experience * Experience utilizing ONYX poster Shop and SAI FlexiSign preferred but not required * Working knowledge of large-format printing a plus * Experience with web content management * Experience with Sharepoint, Salesforce and Wordpress a plus Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Graphics Manager
