Columbia College (www.ccdc.edu) in Vienna, VA is looking for a Cosmetology Program Instructor who has a professional experience as a stylist/cosmetologist and teaching experience as an instructor. This position is hourly based, part-time teaching position and the ideal candidate must have a valid Cosmetology License and Cosmetology Instructor License.

[Tentative Schedule]

• Tuesday - Thursday, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
• 5 hours per day, 1 hour of lunch break is non-payable.

[Duties and Responsibilities]

• Knowledgeable in the field of Cosmetology
• Teach theory (Chapters in Milady) and practicum classes
• Prepare students for the board license exam
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to maintain successful relationships with students and colleagues
• Adhere to health and safety procedures
• May have to visit main campus and go to salon (located in Centreville, VA) at times
• Other tasks as assigned

[Qualification/Requirements]

• *Valid Cosmetology Instructor License
• Associate's Degree or above in Cosmetology or related field.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Great Communication Skills in oral and written
• Time Management and Organization Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
