Description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be required to travel to various group subsidiaries, domestic and internationally, to support on-going manufacturing processes in the effort to attain smooth operating and manufacturing machining / assembly capabilities.

• Defines and solves all major and minor manufacturing assembly problems related to manufacturing and takes corrective actions as necessary. Identifies imperfections in manufacturing processes, including design and process engineering, material, machinery, equipment and personnel. Communicates with broad range of departments to incorporate corrective actions. Establishes new procedures and techniques as appropriate.
• Maintains on-going accuracy of manufacturing process documentation regarding product engineering specifications, manufacturing capabilities and applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Estimates cost of new or revised processes and design in support of cost reduction programs.
• Coordinate implementation of these plans with all departments.
• Prepares, implements, and supervises layout, tooling, product flow and related engineering functions necessary to bring new product from blueprint to production.
• Assists or leads in the development of capital equipment justifications.
• Ensures capability of processes via design improvements / changes generated from all organization levels.
• Performs related duties assigned by the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering or Project Manager

Qualifications

BS Degree Engineering or equivalent experience.

Ten to fifteen years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering discipline. Computer literate and proficient. Must have working knowledge of CNC equipment and tooling applications. Should be familiar with manual type machinery also. Must be experienced in application of process control, i.e. SPC. CNC programming experience is desirable.
