Colson Group is Hiring a Preform Press Operator for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift Near Export, PA
PREFORMER JOB DESCRIPTION
- SCOOP MATERIAL FROM LARGE BIN AND WEIGH TO SPECIFIC AMOUNT.
- DUMP SCOOP INTO CYLINDER.
- ACTUATE PRESS TO COMPRESS MATERIAL INTO A WHEEL BLANK (PREFORM).
- REMOVE PREFORM FROM THE MACHINE AND PLACE IT IN A DRUM.
- REPEAT THE ABOVE STEPS THROUGH ENTIRE SHIFT.
- REPEAT MINOR BENDING AND LIFTING UP TO 10 POUNDS IS REQUIRED.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical: Must be able to bend, stand, stoop and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Specific Skills: Must be able to read and interpret blue prints or be able to be trained. Familiar with machinery. Must be able to obtain a fork lift license or currently have one. Must be able to use height gauge, scale and calipers to produce quality component parts.
Experience: Prefer prior machine operator experience.
