Colquitt Regional Medical Center is Hiring a Director Of Materials Management Near Moultrie, GA

Plan, organize, coordinate and control the system which provides the institution with procurement of supplies and equipment to maintain the highest standards at the lowest
cost to the institution.

Develop and maintain an up-to-date policy manual that documents the appropriate purchasing and requisitioning procedure that must be followed for the acquisition of supplies and equipment. This should include specific administrative approval levels based on dollar value of procurements.

In concert with other members of this institution’s management, establish criteria and specifications for supplies to be used throughout the institution through the hospital’s Product Evaluation Committee.

Develop and coordinate the activities of supply storage and distribution which will safeguard the hospital’s supplies and equipment and insure a smooth and orderly flow of these supplies and equipment to appropriate user areas.

Develop levels of inventory for each specific inventory item to maintain adequate stock with the smallest amount of investment of the hospital’s funds.

Develop and maintain a charge structure in order to have appropriate mark-ups of patient chargeable supplies.

Prepare, analyze, and send monthly supply usage reports to department heads.

Assist in supply and equipment cost projections for the annual budget process.

Develop and conduct ongoing training for hospital departments on the use of the materials management system.

Evaluates staff performance on an ongoing basis.

Conducts department meetings on a regular basis.

Responsible for compliance with JCAHO.

Focuses on achieving goals and objectives established in the department incentive bonus plan.

Responsible for being up-to-date on hospital policy and procedures and external laws and regulations relevant to director’s job.

Responsible for the department’s budget and financial viability.

Education

Preferred

Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
