Licensed Journeyman Electrician needed

Summertime 9-80 schedule (every other week is a 3 day weekend)
Primary Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot streetlights, mid-mast and high-mast highway lighting, bridge lighting, and tunnel lighting.
• Locate and repair damaged underground and overhead conductors.
• Install and maintain equipment critical to the functionality of roads and highways.
• Perform annual inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems within the public right of way.
• Document and follow up on repairs and upgrades.
• Update various municipalities GIS asset management systems.
• Ensure safe work practices around electrical equipment.
• Coordinate and mobilize the resources required to remove knocked down light poles on an emergency basis with short notice.
Supervisory Responsibilities: On an as needed basis, and the supervisory responsibilities that inherently come with being a licensed professional.
Education and/or Experience:
• 1 year as licensed journeyman
• Knowledge of the lock out tag out program
• Ability to read and understand SDS
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Service, maintenance, commercial
• Experience working in the ROW is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade required.
• Thorough knowledge of NEC and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade required.
• Knowledge of all electrical systems (0-600 volts) AC and DC required.
• General knowledge of Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction is helpful.
• Knowledge of electrical safety precautions required.
• Must have a good attitude and be able to maintain a positive relationship with customers and co-workers.
• Position requires self-motivation with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to multi-task
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Colorado State Journeyman Electrician License required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds, climb ladders, and run equipment.
Work Environment:
• Work is regularly performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Exposed to temperatures both hot and cold.
• Working around live traffic.
Compensation:
This is an hourly position paying $34 to $40 per hour depending on experience.
