Overview:

Colorado Early Education Network (CEEN) is a federally funded, non-profit organization that is geared towards supporting children’s growth in a positive learning environment by providing early learning and development opportunities, health and physical development services, as well as promoting family well-being through continued education and strengthening parent-child relationships.

We are looking to bring in motivated, experienced Instructional coaches who take pride in their work with children, and are passionate about creating an engaging classroom atmosphere for preschool-aged children from low-income families while engaging with the local community. This is a 40-42 week; 40 hrs per week position.

Salary: $27.59 per hour

Hours Required:

8:00AM – 4:30PM

Responsibilities:

· Attend all required trainings and workshops to include but not limited to 15 hours of classroom focused professional development and methods that comply with applicable State and local laws for identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect.

· Plan and direct the work of the teaching staff they are coaching. Observes and gives feedback to staff on a weekly basis.

· This position may be assigned to work in the absence of a regular Teacher or Assistant Teacher to model and train staff to ensure continued quality in the classroom.

· Classroom support is essential; this position will spend the majority of time in the classroom setting. It is mandatory that 6 hours of a typical day will be based out of the center. The remaining 2 hours may be used at the office to prepare the necessary resources for the coaching visits.

· Provide effective training and support for new teaching staff in classroom management, curriculum implementation, and appropriate early childhood teaching practices.

· Coach and support classroom teaching staff to effectively utilize Creative Curriculum, facilitate assessment driven planning through TS GOLD, CLASS, Conscious Discipline and any other teaching supports/strategies as required by CEEN.

· Provide development and individualized support for assigned teaching staff who do not demonstrate the desired skills in their classroom teaching development.

Required Qualifications:

(1) A BA or MA in Early Childhood Education or a related field with a minimum of 15 ECE credits.

(2) 1 year coaching, training or mentoring experience.

(3) 3-5 years total teaching experience; a minimum of 2080 hours verified experience (age appropriate)
