*Position will teach five, 72 minute periods of Variety/Elective Classes to K - 12th grade.

*Tentative Schedule:

Mondays & Tuesdays, 8am - 4pm.
Period 1: 6th-8th grade - Gaming Unplugged
Period 2: 7th-10th grade - Dabbling in Design 
Period 3: 9th -12th grade - Essential Life Skills
Period 4: 2nd-5th grade - Creature Chronicles
Period 5: 2nd -5th grade - Creature Chronicles

Position Purpose

The Homeschool Enrichment Teacher works under the supervision of the Homeschool Enrichment Coordinator to develop students skills and competence in basic features and functionalities of discipline/topics taught, as described by specific teaching position listed. Must be able to instruct students through a hands-on interactive skills development environment via demonstrations, practice assignments, and unit assessments to ensure that students become proficient in the related discipline.

Job Duties

• Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website.
• Develops and administers appropriate knowledge of discipline related to specific teaching position sought consistent with CEC goals and objectives.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to enhance learning.
• Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of course work to everyday life.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods accordingly.
• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
• Organizes and maintains Infinite Campus (IC) for accurate and complete recordkeeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievements, and daily attendance as required in CEC policies.
• Ensures that student conduct conforms with CECs Student and Family Handbook and CEC policies.
• Collaborates with other CEC staff members and participates in staff meetings and professional development as requested by the Academic Dean.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
• Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed
• Ability to organize and coordinate work
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted during work
