What you will do:
We are looking for a Community Outreach Specialist like you who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the day-to-day functions will look like:
  • Collaborate with internal partners to lead the design, development and execution of outreach initiatives that increase community awareness and grow/retain the membership of Colorado Access and all subsidiary company plans and services.
  • Administer outreach, promotional, sponsorship and other event programs that are mission aligned with Colorado Access' mission.
  • Establish, coordinate and maintain strong relationship with community organizations, including representation of Colorado Access and its interests in those organizations when required.
  • Work with Director of OMFA to develop relationships with community leaders and serve as the organization's liaison with various constituents.
  • Evaluate partnerships and outreach needs to identify opportunities and makes recommendations about how to strengthen local relationships based on company mission and related sales and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and coordinate employee volunteer opportunities and associated programs.
  • Serve as the primary lead for coordinating events across all lines of business as appropriate, including: preparation, transport and setup, event-day representation, volunteer recruiting and training, etc.
  • Makes presentations to community based organizations, health fairs, external coalitions, businesses and other agencies in order to outreach to specific groups, as well as build and strengthen partnerships.
  • Provide input on creative outreach strategies and best practice, with a focus on grassroots initiatives.
  • Manage inventory of promotional items and coordinate ordering and future planning.
  • Track OMFA projects/activities and submit progress reports on a regular schedule.
What you will bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, social sciences, business or other related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may substitute with a preference for six years progressive relevant work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in outreach program experience, experience working with communications practices, principles, and procedures. Minimum of one year experience working in a health care setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with diverse populations including business professionals, community representatives, Medicaid, CHP or Medicare beneficiaries and health care providers is required. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, to include experience with formal and informal public speaking. Requires the ability to interpret and analyze data related to marketing strategies. Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to work independently required. A working knowledge of the healthcare system and managed care principles. Bi-lingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving.

Pay, Perks and Benefits at Colorado Access:
The compensation for this position is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually. The pay rate/salary is commensurate with experience.

Where you will work:
This position will be a hybrid model work environment, a blend of ‘In-Office’ and ‘Remote.’
We are not able to support out of state employees at this time as we continue to serve our members and community in the metro Denver area and across the beautiful state of Colorado.
