Description

CA seeks a Full-Time Third Grade Faculty position which reports to the Lower School Principal effective August 2024. This is a 10-month position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Relate to students in an age-appropriate manner while creating a safe, supportive, mutually respectful classroom community which values the distinct contributions, background, and abilities of each child.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop, plan, and implement literacy support instructional plans.
• Provide exceptional academic instruction focused on meeting the needs of diverse learners consistent with current evidence-based educational practices.
• Work with students individually and in small group instruction to inspire and help children develop to their full potential.
• Maintain records on students for the purpose of directing further instruction, evaluating and reporting students' progress.
• Make recommendations regarding student evaluations and progress to determine continuation in the literacy support program.
• Communicate students' progress to classroom teachers and parents.
• Assist in scheduling and administering tests to determine qualifying candidates for the literacy support program.
• Attend faculty and staff meetings and professional day opportunities.
• Support rules of conduct and discipline and suitable learning environment in the classroom and during recess.

Requirements

•  Teaching experience, preferably at least 3 years
• Effective and supportive communication skills 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple and ongoing tasks
• Ability to interpret and communicate assessment and evaluation results
• Bachelor Degree required, Masters Degree preferable

The pay range for the position is $55,000-$75,000. Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any discrepancies that may exist do not relate to sex.
