Position Title: Security Officer/Flagger
Location: Philadelphia International Airport 
Job Type: Full-Time Weekdays 
Security Experience: 2 Years
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as a Security Officer Flagger or Gate Security Officer at the Airport. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the airport. 
Flagger Responsibilities:
- Manage traffic flow in designated areas of the airport
- Direct vehicles to appropriate locations for loading, unloading and parking while ensuring compliance with airport regulations and safety protocols 
- Monitor and enforce parking regulations to maintain order and ensure efficient use of parking spaces 
- Assist with crowd control during peak travel times, special events, or emergencies 
- Communicate effectively with drivers, passengers, and airport personnel to provide directions, assistance, and information as needed 
- Collaborate with other security personnel to identify and report any suspicious activities or security breaches 
- Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies and provide assistance until further help arrives 
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure a safe environment for airport employees and travelers 
- Complete incident reports, log activities, and maintain accurate records of daily operations 
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on security procedures, emergency protocols, and airport regulations 
Gate Responsibilities: 
- Conduct thorough inspections of trucks entering and exiting designated checkpoints to ensure compliance with security regulations and procedures 
- Verify the identity of truck drivers and validate the authenticity of required documentation, including driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and cargo manifests 
- Utilize security equipment such as X-ray machines, handheld scanners, and mirrors to conduct inspections effectively
- Inspect truck cargo and freight to detect prohibited items, hazardous materials, or other security risks
- Communicate clearly and professionally with truck drivers, providing instructions on security procedures and requirements 
- Coordinate with airport personnel, law enforcement agencies, and other security officers to address security concerns and respond to incidents as needed 
- Document inspection findings, security incidents, and any violations of security protocols accurately and promptly 
- Conduct regular patrols of the checkpoint area to deter unauthorized access and ensure the security perimeter is maintained
- Participate in training sessions and drills to enhance security awareness and preparedness 
Qualifications 
- Ability to obtain a SIDA badge (company-sponsored)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record 
- High school diploma or equivalent 
- Previous experience in security
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written 
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and obtain necessary security clearances
