The Dry Bulk Plant Operator is responsible for the loading and unloading of products from vessels, trucks and railcars.
Job Expectations/Duties

• Unloads dry bulk products from railcars to storage using terminal equipment.
• Loads product from storage to vessel using loading equipment.
• Takes product samples from railcars and vessels for customer analysis.
• Positions railcars for unloading using a locomotive.
• Operates and maintains small and heavy equipment, including skid-steer loaders, floor sweepers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and farm tractors.
• Maintains paperwork for railcar unloading and vessel loading.
• Performs physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Sets up equipment to receive product into storage silos.
• Cleans equipment after product has been received or shipped.
• Identifies and anticipates potential errors and problems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Must have equal ability to work as part of a high-performance team and as an individual contributor.
• Must follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to arrive at work on time with regularity.
• Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a related field is a plus.
• Must be able to use simple math, have basic computer skills and use a copier.
