The Billing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the billing process for all orders. This person will work directly with multiple internal departments, suppliers, carriers, and other external contacts to fulfill the billing expectations in a timely manner. The Billing Specialist operates in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills are required, as well as exceptional attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to multi-task. Understanding the priorities of the workload is critical. JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES Ship confirm and push to invoicing status all assigned orders (bulk, direct ships, offsite warehouse, etc). Ensures all billing is posted on time for End of Month Maintains and uploads all invoices into customer portals Track, request, and enter CUPS credits for applicable accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis. Enter credits and rebills for applicable accounts Manage other various fixes (cost corrections, freight fixes, etc.) Enter Florida Pollutant Tax, ATF Tax, Superfund Tax on applicable orders Manages loading demurrage charges and submits to CTI for reimbursement Apply blend fees to applicable orders. Approve supplier and carrier invoices in Bottomline Maintain monthly reconciliation reports Maintains training manuals for all invoicing needs including cost corrections, credit/rebill QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED is required. College degree is preferred. 1 year minimum experience in a Billing role is required. Familiarity with the chemical distribution or transportation industries is preferred. Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Strong computer skills including databases and Customer Relationship Management Systems are required.
