Router Grocery Distribution

SHIFT: Monday Friday 7:30a 4:30p. Availability for Sunday Thursday required.

Salary $45K - $60K based on experience.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Responsible for daily delivery routing and driver scheduling for 20 drivers within the state of Florida.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate efficient routes using routing software (Descartes).
• Assign and communicate delivery drivers’ daily schedules.
• Coordinate special delivery/returns with sales and customers.
• Ability to communicate professionally via multiple forms of communication.
• Willingness to problem solve and provide solutions.
• Data entry into Excel spreadsheets.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn DOT regulations.
• Willingness to work cross-departmentally to deliver the best service to our customers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Desire to work in an encouraging work environment.
• Driven to be recognized for contributions as part of team.
• Possess Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, but not required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate with all associates openly and effectively.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, all software programs and vendor portals (Descartes, Samsara, Penske) used to perform the job.
• Take a sage approach to all job responsibilities.
• Must be reliable and able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Understand and interpret DOT and other state and federal regulations.
