Oversee the receptionists in the Pediatric Department. Ensure that the receptionists are trained and perform their job duties as defined. Represents the clinic in a courteous, efficient and professional manner by efficiently answering and making all necessary telephone calls, handling necessary paperwork, registering patients, timely scheduling appointments, greeting and assisting patients and their families
Qualifications:
1. Pleasant, friendly disposition with the ability to work with
patients, physicians and co-workers.
2. Awareness of need for discretion and for keeping confidential
all matters relating to the clinic, the employees and the
patients.
3. Intelligence to use judgement and initiative determining the
course of action with a patient.
4. Ability to handle stressful situations while remaining calm.
5. Tact and diplomacy when dealing with patients and staff.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
7. Maturity to withstand pressures that may arise in relation to
the public, personnel or physicians.
8. Able to work in a team situation while promoting harmony and
cohesiveness within the department.
9. Close working relationship with physicians.
10. Familiarity and knowledge of computers.
Requirements:
1. High School Graduate or equivalent.
2. Previous reception experience or background.
3. Previous public contact work and telephone work.
4. Background and knowledge of computers.
