Collins Family Law Group is Hiring a Family Law Attorney Near Fort Mill, SC

We are a family and elder law firm with 10 offices across North Carolina and South Carolina, seeking a Family Law Attorney for a great location in Baxter Village who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate. From drafting legal documents to meeting with clients to official court appearances, the job will be dynamic and require excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to make connections within the community will contribute to the growth of your practice. Candidates should be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Compensation:

$100,000 yearly DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Help effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
  • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
  • Attend court proceedings as needed to ensure effective representation of clients
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
  • Host consultation meetings to meet with potential clientele and outline the services and level of expertise our firm can provide, as well as a suggested legal course of action for each individual's unique needs.
  • Provide an unparalleled client experience so that each customer of the Firm knows they are a priority for you and our team at CFELG. Engage in frequent contact with all clients.
  • Engage in matter management to ensure the timely progress of cases
  • Set boundaries for clients when needed to ensure the firm is profitable and our attorneys protected from potential liability
  • Confirm work is consistently quality-reviewed for case law and written content/clarity
Qualifications:
  • License to practice law in South Carolina; North Carolina is a plus
  • 5 years experience working in a law firm on family law issues, with sufficient experience to work independently on certain cases and retain new clients
  • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
  • Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases
  • Empathetic to clients going through stressful domestic situations/divorces
  • Ability to handle clients in a compassionate manner, as they are in a stressful situation when they come to our firm
  • Team-oriented, flexible, organized, and willing to work across office locations when needed is a plus
  • Self-starter who will take the proactive initiative to complete priorities on a daily basis
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve and come up with workable solutions, figure things out on your own
