Collins Family Law Group is Hiring a Family Law Attorney Near Bluffton, SC

We are a family and elder law firm assisting clients in North Carolina and South Carolina, seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join our team in Beaufort. As a Family Law Attorney, you must possess a deep understanding of child custody, child support, prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, domestic violence, and other related laws. Your role will involve drafting legal documents, consulting with clients, and appearing in court. It is essential to have superb communication skills to establish connections with the clients, as well as colleagues, and engage in negotiations in intense moments. Compensation:

$100,000 yearly DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Help effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
  • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
  • Attend court proceedings as needed to ensure effective representation of clients
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
  • Host consultation meetings to meet with potential clientele and outline the services and level of expertise our firm can provide, as well as a suggested legal course of action for each individual's unique needs
  • Provide an unparalleled client experience so that each customer of the Firm knows they are a priority for you and our team at CFELG. Engage in frequent contact with all clients
  • Engage in matter management to ensure the timely progress of cases
  • Set boundaries for clients when needed to ensure the firm is profitable and our attorneys protected from potential liability
  • Confirm work is consistently quality-reviewed for case law and written content/clarity
Qualifications:
  • License to practice law in South Carolina; North Carolina is a plus
  • 5 years experience working in a law firm on family law issues, with sufficient experience to work independently on certain cases and retain new clients
  • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
  • Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases
  • Empathetic to clients going through stressful domestic situations/divorces
  • Ability to handle clients in a compassionate manner, as they are in a stressful situation when they come to our firm
  • Team-oriented, flexible, organized, and willing to work across office locations when needed is a plus
  • Self-starter who will take the proactive initiative to complete priorities on a daily basis
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve and come up with workable solutions, figure things out on your own
