Collins Community Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Risk Officer to join our team. The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks across the organization. This role involves developing risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
Some of what you'll do:
- Identify and assess risks within the organization's operations and activities.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts.
- Communicate risk assessment findings to management and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in risk management or a related field for a minimom of 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
