Position Role Type:

The Test Technician role is an integral part of the manufacturing team and performs acceptance testing on complex simulation equipment to ensure products meet quality specifications. Technicians will engage in fault isolation for test failures and verification of repairs while working with engineers to help determine data trends and improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs bring up and verification of complex PC based computer simulation systems.
  • Performs reconfiguration of image generators and projection systems to test and troubleshoot assemblies on multiple product lines.
  • Uses diagnostic tools, test equipment to logically troubleshoot and isolate complex faults to the assembly, sub-assembly and component level.
  • Understands theory of electronic circuitry, electrical components and computer operations.
  • Familiar with ERP systems to record failure data, enter move transactions and initiate inventory transactions.
  • Familiar with Windows based operating systems, networking and software applications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematic diagrams, assembly drawings and work instructions.
  • Capability of working independently as well as in a group setting

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Prior experience with component level troubleshooting highly preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Must have ability to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions
  • Must be able to lift/carry equipment or parts up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate degree in Electronics is highly preferred.
