Collins Aerospace is looking for a Principal Specialist, Procurement for our Hoist & Winch team within Avionics.

This position provides the right candidate an exceptional opportunity to grow their supply chain career. The selected candidate will support the H&W Supply Chain team within Avionics and the individual will play a key role in the organization as the focal point for procurement of associated parts with assigned suppliers.

This is an ONSITE position located in Anaheim, CA. This position may be eligible for relocation.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responsible for purchase order placement, delivery assurance and other procurement related activities.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with select suppliers that support our Anaheim, CA facility.
  • Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders with supply base.
  • Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
  • Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, program execution.
  • Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
  • Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
  • Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.
  • Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • And other related duties as needed per direction from leadership

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Purchasing within a manufacturing environment is desired
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related experience
  • Certificate in purchasing from the Purchasing Management Association
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communicator at all levels in the organization
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving & decision making skills
  • Experience with SAP

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
