Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technical Lead to serve as the subject matter expert for all manufacturing aspects of military landing gear assembly and testing.

The position works onsite at our Haltom City, TX facility.

  • Eligible for relocation

Primary Responsibilities

  • Represent Manufacturing Engineering as a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), where significant interaction with product designers, quality assurance, systems designers, customer representatives, and other stakeholders is required.

  • Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple process steps that spans the full value stream of landing gear assemblies and sub-assemblies.

  • Facilitate the use of statistical analysis tools for the ME team to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product.

  • Prioritize workload of the ME team ensuring performance to defined reoccurring support objectives and timeframes.

  • Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost curves and Qualification plan.

  • Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering command media documents, managing their creation, evaluation, and maintenance to ensure effectiveness and clarity.

  • Work with senior management.

  • Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities.

  • Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements. Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.

  • Represent the organization in various forums related to MRL execution. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.

  • Will be an effective team player with strong good interpersonal skills capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Minimum 6 years experience with complex manufacturing activities

  • Minimum 6 years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with all program lifecycles from initial program proposal, LRIP, full rate production, and sustainment.

  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc

  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, and DOE.

  • Manufacturing tooling strategy development experience.

  • Experience with LOE analysis, estimating, and forecasting for ME deliverables.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
