Collins Aerospace is Hiring a Manager, FP&A Budgets - Operations (Hybrid) Near Cedar Rapids, IA

Missions Systems, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is looking to hire a Manager, FP&A Budgets - Operations to join our team.

This position is for a Analyst, FP&A in the Mission Systems Operations Finance organization. This role will support the Mission Systems Consol Operations team and provides a great opportunity to network across our Operations organization and Mission Systems business. Daily interaction with Manufacturing, Program Management, and other Finance functions allows each analyst to influence perspectives and create value. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills and is detail oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Mission Systems Operations leaders in managing budgets, projects and staffing and is responsible for reconciling, understanding and confirming financial data to support the monthly closing and quarterly forecast processes

  • Ability to understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Collins Aerospace finance policies apply to current business situations

  • Execute financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts to support Mission Systems Operations

  • Review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports to develop observations and recommendations

  • Reviews financial reports, P&L, balance sheet, inventory and output

  • Communicate cost risk and opportunities to the business unit. Along with internal communication to Manufacturing and Finance leadership teams

  • Supports development of the annual operating plan (AOP) and long-range plan (LRP) commitments

  • Utilize HP and SAP for budget and project analysis

  • Audits financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards

  • Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies

  • Provides support for pricing and sales

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
