The Logistics Supervisor supervises a team of entry to intermediate-level administrative professionals with the goal of ensuring movement of material in and out of the MRO facility and Warehouse to support customer requirements. This position oversees the day-to-day goals and objectives for the Wichita Service Center administrative personnel and drives improvement based on analysis of current and past performance. This individual monitors current performance and performs Root Cause Analysis when goals are not met. The ideal candidate should be motivated, proactive and must be able to contribute to solutions and improve processes. Other duties include handling Human Resource related issues, overseeing the sites Global Trade compliance, managing training, and providing feedback on job performance.

This position is located at the Collins Aerospace Wichita Service Center in Wichita, KS and is required to be onsite.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Leading a team within the Wichita Service Center.

  • Managing allocation of work duties to ensure that On Time Delivery and operational goals are achieved.

  • Reporting on team performance.

  • Planning capacity for future repair flow.

  • Ensuring compliance with corporate, regulatory, and industry requirements.

  • Participating in Lean events and promoting continuous improvement.

  • Maintaining employee training manuals.

  • Tracking employee performance and providing direct feedback on a regular basis.

  • Interviewing and hiring candidates as necessary.

  • Working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Communicating effectively and working with multiple levels of management.

  • Learning and utilizing management systems and tools.

  • Maintaining customer focus while keeping the company's interest in mind.

  • Handling other activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Must have prior direct supervisory experience.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Prior experience in roles requiring utilization of analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing environment and managing multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma practices.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
