The CNS Surveillance Group in Melbourne, Florida is seeking to fill an electrical engineering Co-op position for summer/fall of 2024. The primary responsibility for this position will be to participate in both new development and product sustaining projects on our Transponder and TCAS Products. The duties include: Electrical design, analysis and simulation, schematic entry, board level test and debug.

This role is onsite based out of our Melbourne, FL site location; may be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design analog and digital board level circuitry to meet requirements per established guidelines under supervision of an experienced engineer

  • Analyze and simulate design to ensure operation over component tolerance and operating extremes

  • Perform schematic entry for PCB layout

  • Write hardware design documents and board level test plans

  • Debug boards using standard tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and emulators

  • Analyze and interpret measured data

  • Assisting with the preparations and execution of flight testing of TCAS products

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of circuit design.

  • Students should be at junior or senior status by summer 2024

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
